Culdaff Surf School is a surf school based in Culdaff, Donegal, Ireland. We offer surf lessons for all levels of experience, from complete beginners to experienced surfers. Our lessons are run by qualified and experienced instructors who are passionate about surfing.

We are located on Culdaff Caravan Beach, which is one of the best surfing spots in Inishowen. The beach is known for its consistent waves and its beautiful scenery and is located just a 35 minute drive from Derry. Our main priority is the safety and enjoyment of our costumers. Lets surf!

As a surfer for over 15 years, I am conscious of the impact surfing has had on  my life. I find a great sense of purpose and fulfilment when I am surfing which has inspired me to share my knowledge of the ocean and hopefully create that fire inside others. The places I've travelled, the friends I've made and the hours of enjoyment are some of the things that make surfing so special. I want others to experience this and more.

We offer a variety of surf lessons from the age 8 and up:

• Private lessons: These lessons are perfect for individuals or small groups who want personalized attention.

• Group lessons: Hens, Stags, Birthdays, Youth groups. Get in contact and we can cater to your needs.

• Surf camps: Kids camps and also adult camps which are suited to individuals who want to learn a new skill and meet other likeminded people. 

We also offer a variety of other services, including:

• Equipment rental: We have a wide selection of surfboards, wetsuits, and other equipment available for rent.

• Surf lessons for businesses: We offer surf lessons for businesses as a team-building activity or as a way to reward employees.

We operate daily throughout the summer months, sometimes lessons may be scheduled around ocean conditions such as tides, wind and wave sizes. Lessons last 2 hrs with 90 minutes in the water surfing. It takes roughly 30 mins to select wetsuit size, teach the basics of surfing on the sand and a quick safety brief. All our wetsuits are 5mm thick neoprene rubber ensuring optimal warmth whilst allowing the flexibiliy to paddle and catch waves.

All our surf lessons happen at the smaller beach located in front of the caravan site. This beach provides a safe environment with good access whilst also having the best waves.
